Monthly Wine Tasting May 20th at 6pm

This has now become a monthly event, so if you cannot make it this month, just remember that it will be every third Tuesday of every month. We can’t wait to see you there!

The Royal Chocolate Tasting Event May 21st

The Royal Chocolate will be hosting a Chocolate Tasting Event on Wednesday, May 21st at 7pm. Get answers to all your burning questions about chocolate such as how is it grown and what do Cocoa percentages mean and how does it change the taste? If you are interested in learning and tasting wonderful chocolates from around the world, this event is for you! Idea of the Month for May "motion sensor lights"

“Idea of the Month”. In this section we would like to encourage our residents to e-mail us their ideas on community events we could sponsor, website updates or changes, additional concierge services we could offer, building enhancement ideas, or even a new networking proposal. Each month, the Cosmopolitan staff will choose a winning idea, and that resident will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to their choice of Town Center retailer or restaurant. This month, David Donovan’s idea was selected as the winner. His idea is to replace the standard light switch in the trash chute room on each floor with one that has a motion sensor. This upgrade would save electricity and solve the annoyance of trying to find the switch while your hands are full. Keep an eye out for this new “green” upgrade with in the next few weeks. Town Center Art & Wine “Festival at the Fountain”

On Saturday May 31st from 2-7pm the Town Center will host the second annual Town Center Art & Wine “Festival at the Fountain”. This grand event will be held in The Town Center of Virginia Beach in the Fountain Plaza and along Main Street and Central Park Avenue. The Art Festival will feature Hampton Roads finest up-and-coming artists, and will allow you the opportunity to purchase your own unique piece of art. Complimentary live entertainment by Me&Jo and Against All Odds will keep everyone dancing throughout the day. In addition, Town Center Retailers will host a hot spring fashion show, showcasing all the latest styles. Admission to the Wine Tasting will be $30.00 before the event and $40.00 on the day of the event and available at Sonoma Wine Bar & Bistro. Wine Seminars such as Wine Basics 101, Champagne-Demystifying The Bubbly, and Blind Tasting Like Pros will be held inside Sonoma Wine Bar & Bistro for $20.00 each class. The Rooftop Pool and Cabana to Open Soon!

The Cosmopolitan Rooftop Pool and Cabana will be opening within the first week of May. The rooftop pool will open from 10 am until 10pm seven days a week, with a pool attendant on the weekends. As a service to our residents, we will be providing pool side towel service in the cabana. To enhance your relaxation time by the pool, many restaurants that are members of the Cosmo Club will also deliver pool side. The stunning habicus trees and other spring-time flowers will also reappear within the next few weeks.

Last month we started a new section of our monthly newsletter properly named “Idea of the Month”. This amenity will work as a type of library, were already read books can be lent, borrowed, and returned. We have designated the bookshelf to left of the television in the Cosmo Clubhouse to house our new “Lending Library”. We hope this new idea will spread the joy of reading thought our community. McCormick & Schmick's has officially joined the Cosmo Club! The Town Centers newest edition to the ever growing restaurant family is known for menus that are printed daily featuring a "Fresh List" of more than 30 seafood species. Guests may find that the seafood offered at lunch differs from dinner offerings, as fresh deliveries arrive to the restaurant throughout the day. McCormick & Schmick's practices traditional mixology hand-crafting cocktails using only fresh-squeezed juices. You won't find any blenders at a McCormick & Schmick's bar. Our bartenders are like chefs in their own right. Classic drinks, such as martinis, Irish coffee, single malt whiskeys and bourbons are complemented with modern favorites like lemon drops, cosmopolitans and more. Additional Trash Receptacles

To better serve all, an additional trash receptacle has been added on each floor. The receptacle is located in the storage closet around the corner of the building between apartments 24 and 23. It is our hope that this will provide a much more convenient option for residents on the South side of the building. Please feel free to contact the Resident Services Office with any questions.

Virginian-Pilot is now being sold on-site for your convenience. This dispensor can be found on the 1st floor North Lobby

If you think your business and coworkers would benefit from our corporate suites please let us know. As you know we offer the finest apartments in the area, fully furnished if requested. If you do supply the name of your business, along with a contact person in human resources we will come out and visit. If our visit leads to a corporate lease.. you will receive a $400 credit on your account.

Spring Cleaning and Community Picnic April 20th

Join the Cosmopolitan in hosting our first Spring Cleaning and Community Picnic Event on Sunday April 20th from 10am until 1pm. This fun and practical event is open for Cosmopolitan residents to buy, sell, trade or donate any gently used items. Our Rooftop Pool and Gardens will be transformed into a shopping bazaar with tables full of treasures. Southern style food and drinks will be served in the clubhouse for everyone to enjoy. If you are interested in having a table, finding out more information about donating items or have any questions, contact the Resident Services Office. If you have large furniture pieces or other hard to move items that you would like to sell, we will be placing a large corkboard in the clubhouse to display photos and descriptions to prospective buyers during the picnic. To ensure the success of this great community event we encourage all residents to invite all your friends, family, and co-workers to join in on the fun. We look forward to seeing you there!

Resident Vehicle Registration

Town Center Management kindly reminds all residents that they must provide vehicle make, model and license plate information to the Cosmopolitan Management. A Cosmopolitan resident decal will then be issued for each registered vehicle. Vehicles that are not properly registered, or creates a hazardous situation are subject to removal immediately. Town Center Security patrols the garage on a regular basis and can be reached at 757-227-4054

Free Week at Town Center Fitness

Simply display your Cosmo Club Card to receive one week free at Town Center Fitness. This includes access to the great classes including yoga, pilates and ballroom dance. Call 962-3778 with questions.

The resident bulletin board

There is a bulletin board section now available as part of your resident section. Submit information regarding the item you would like to sell and we will post on the site for you.

Free Wireless Internet

We have completed the wireless networking on the rooftop plaza. This FREE service will allow you to enjoy the new gardens and fresh air poolside while accessing the internet. Don't forget we also offer this service in the Executive Board Room on the 1st floor.
